Birdsville State School is undergoing a change in our curriculum and pedagogy as part of a National Focus on an Australia wide Curriculum and Reporting Framework. We will continue to provide an innovative and dynamic education to the students of our school and ensure individual needs are met through individualised planning and powerful learning experiences.

In this time of change, we are taking the step of consolidating our student’s Literacy and Numeracy skills and knowledge. We have Launched this Improvement Agenda under the banner of Soaring - as this is what we intend for our children, for them to have the literacy and numeracy skills to soar through their learning. Literacy and Numeracy will be a major focus for Birdsville State School; however, we will still deliver quality learning experiences in all the key learning areas.

Your involvement in our Improvement Agenda is of crucial importance. We need the support of all Birdsville State School community members in raising the expected standards of Literacy and Numeracy to ensure the future, and that of our students, is free from clouds of doubt and a wide blue canvas for Birdsville and beyond to continue Soaring!
